Zakat on money

Zakat is the third of the five pillars of Islam, and God Almighty has imposed it as a purification of the soul, growth, and blessing of money and livelihood. It has eight outlets, namely: the poor - the needy - those working on it - whose hearts are reconciled - and for freeing slaves - and for debtors - and for the sake of God - the wayfarer.
