The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever relieves a Muslim of a worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of a distress on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes things easy for someone in difficulty, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever covers up a Muslim, Allah will cover up for him in this world and the Hereafter." When we relieve a Muslim's distress, we gladden his heart and make him feel the sympathy and support he needs. This is one of the greatest charitable acts we can do, as it balances the scale of good deeds and increases Allah's mercy upon us. Let us make relieving a Muslim's distress our highest goal, and strive to alleviate his suffering and help him in any area he needs.
